Monitor outside gauges and processes and handle discrepancies accordingly.
Starts pumps and turn valves to admit liquid solution, steam, and cooling water into system.
Regulate flow of solution through system to obtain specified concentration.
Must be able to monitor and operate boiler operation from an HMI.
Must be able to test for and maintain proper boiler water chemistry.
Conduct all CMS plant wide chemical handling tasks, in particular proper storage, processing and inventory management.
Follow and maintain all plant cleaning and sterilization procedures.
Monitor pressure, temperature, turbidity, pH, and conductivity around the reverse osmosis equipment to ensure proper operation.
Provide proper tank management support throughout the CMS plant area.In particular, the Condensed Molasses Soluble (CMS) tank.
Keep all areas and equipment clean and neat at all times.
Perform plant wide storm water management duties as directed by company EHS Manager.
Perform hurricane protection procedures when necessary.
Perform preventative maintenance as required.
Adheres to and promotes quality, environmental, health and safety as one of the organization’s business priorities.
Other Duties as Assigned.
Skills Required
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Have an average to above average work record, i.e. job performance, safety, attendance, etc.Be able to physically perform all aspects of the position.This includes, the ability to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis and 60 lbs.
Must have ability to perform math functions.
Must be able to work in extremely hot conditions.
Must be able to work around caustics and acids.
EDUCATION
An Associate degree in Process Technology or at least four years work experience in this or a related field
