Job Description:

FRONT DESK POSITION  - CHIROPRACTIC OFFICE

 

  • Greeting Patients / Escorting patients to treatment rooms
  • Answering Phones / Taking messages
  • Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
  • Insurance verification and interpretation
  • Computer data entry (patient information, charges, payments, treatment)
  • Processing payments, balancing daysheet at end of day
  • Medical record keeping
  • Assist with patient care as needed
  • Assist with administrative functions as needed
  • Scanning medical records
  • Inventory supplies /products and restocking
  • Light cleaning responsibilities

 

 

WORK HOURS - expect variation according to patient needs

 

  • MON   10:00am-1:30pm (lunch) 2:30pm-6:30 (possibly 7:00pm)                                                                                                                       Temporary hours due to hurricane   9:30am-1:30pm (lunch) 2:30pm-5:30 (possibly 6:00)
  • TUES    9:30am-12:00pm - it varies   (as little as 9:30am-11:00am or as much as 9:30am-2:30pm)
  • WED   10:00am-1:30pm (lunch) 2:30pm-6:30 (possibly 7:00pm)                                                                                                                      Temporary hours due to hurricane   9:30am-1:30pm (lunch) 2:30pm-5:30 (possibly 6:00)
  • THUR   9:30am-12:00pm - it varies    (as little as 9:30am-11:00am or as much as 9:30am-2:30pm)
  • FRI      9:30am-1:30pm (lunch) 2:30pm-6:00 (possibly 6:30pm)                                                                                                                      Temporary hours due to hurricane   9:30am-1:30pm (lunch) 2:30pm-5:30 (possibly 6:00)

 REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to Multi-Task (A MUST)
  • Excellent written and verbal skills 
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to perform expected tasks independently without supervision
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to jump from "high profile" projects to"digging a trench" type projects while maintaining enthusiasm
  • Basic internet navigation skills
  • Quick on your feet - hustle when needed
  • Punctual
 
 HELPFUL EXPERIENCE
  • Exposure to HIPAA regulations in healthcare field
  • Exposure to billing and coding in the healthcare field
  • Experience and knowledge of Chiropractic
