Job Description:

Position Summary:   

We are looking for a Marketing Analyst to join our team. We are interested in hiring an experienced individual who will provide analytical support to provide meaningful data and insights to the business, including understanding and interpreting business strategies, trends, and predicting future impacts.

 

Essential Functions: 

  1. Analyze and synthesize data to translate results into KPIs for the evaluation of the efficacy of marketing campaigns, tactical and broader strategic multi-channel digital marketing programs.
  2. Provide data and analysis to suggest improvements and to help optimize process and user experience across digital channels based on data and observed trends.
  3. Develop KPIs and visual dashboards, working with internal and external teams.
  4. Collaborate with external agencies to translate findings into optimized campaign spending, creative, contextual, etc.
  5. Develop insights to deepen engagement with key audiences and expand our audience/reach. 
  6. Maintain appropriate reporting on the effectiveness of overall marketing for specific marketing channels and campaigns
  7. Ability to run SAS jobs / SQL queries (or similar open source programming languages, such as, Python) to obtain data to analyze and provide findings
  8. Perform scheduled and ad hoc reporting and analysis utilizing web analytics, business intelligence, and other similar tools for automated reporting and visualization

9.     Ability to prepare and effectively present comprehensive written and verbal reports and recommendations

  1. Research and provide financial and/or business related analyses to assess the impact of various projects and transactions
  2. Prepare forecasts and analyze trends

12.  Provide and Review updated performance measurements on a daily, weekly, and monthly and provide communication updates to the management to the extent anomalies occur or results don’t meet expectations.  In addition perform ad-hoc requests.

13.  Perform marketing research and competitive intelligence studies as needed

14.  Provide reporting and modeling to turn information into actionable recommendations

15.  Proactively drive new reporting/analysis (measures, key success factors, metrics) and make recommendations.  Also automate existing routine reports using BI or other applicable tools.

16.  Convert business problems into analytic projects with well-defined deliverables

  1. Develop and implement process improvements
  2. Participate in the development and implementation of short-term and long-term strategies, goals and objectives to foster business growth and to increase volume while maintaining other business objectives, such as, risk level.

Skills Required

Skills Required: 

1. This position requires a strong combination of leadership, technical/analytical, and excellent verbal and written communication skills 

2.     Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing optimal and actionable business recommendations

3.     Strong grasp of digital media channels preferred

4.     Proven track record of improving strategies

5.     Ability to analyze potential opportunities and program effectiveness

6.     Strong initiative and willingness to approach work with a sense of urgency

7.     Risk management experience

8.     Detail oriented and a self-starter

9.     Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

10.  Can work with minimal direct supervision

11.  Proficiency in MS Office, general knowledge of Internet and online services

12.  Proven ability to meet deadlines and ability to work in a fast paced environment

13.  Must be able to manage and organize multiple projects at one time

14.  Resolve complex challenges in a professional and timely manner

15.  Ability to learn and contribute quickly

16.  Strong decision making/problem solving skills

 

Experience Required: 

 

1.     Bachelor’s degree preferred

2.     Minimum 1+ year of experience in a variety of analytical methods and statistical analysis

3.     Hands-on data analytics experience is essential

  1. Experience using SAS / SQL queries preferred
  2. Reporting/analyst experience with web analytics tool, preferably Domo and Google Analytics (this is NOT a web developer position)
  3. Exemplary communication skills and strong business acumen to understand business strategy, interact with all levels within an organization, and present actionable findings – NOT just produce data

 

Computer Software/Hardware:

 

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products

SAS / SQL open source data processing tools, such as Python or other analytics software packages

Experience with Business Intelligence software, such as, Domo, Tableau, Cognos or similar highly preferred

Experience with Google Analytics preferred

 

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

 

Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time, talking, hearing constantly.

Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.

Must be able to sit in front of computer monitor (s) daily

Sitting and or standing for long periods of time. [is this a repeat of the first bullet?]

Noise level: moderate noise level daily in an office atmosphere.
