JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant/Word Processor POSITION INFORMATION: Full-Time Contract Position DUTY LOCATION: St. Thomas, VI AVAILABILITY: 2 – 3 months pending adjudication of Dept. of Justice Security Clearance JOB DURATION: Contract – Indefinite GOVERNMENT AGENCY – U.S. Department of Justice - Drug Enforcement Administration Salary: $13.17 per hour JOB SUMMARY: Maintain the supervisor's calendar and arrange meetings and conferences. Procure, authorize, control, and justify supplies and services for the office. Provide information and answer questions from visitors and callers that require research of records and files. Perform complex office automation duties to include producing a variety of reports and charts, tracking suspense actions, creating specialized databases, and preparing presentation material. Manage the processing of program and project documentation and related actions. Oversee the documentation tracking system and monitor internal routing procedures. Serve as a key technical assistant in support of the office functions. Gather, evaluate and compile a variety of data and information to report progress or to explain problems. Utilize standard statistical or other qualitative or quantitative measurements to analyze, evaluate and report information. Coordinate extensive office support services for specialized or unique program or office needs. Types reports and information acquired as well as, memoranda, letters, forms, subpoenas, etc. Ensures correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, and format. Other administrative duties as assigned to include but not limited to filing, assisting others when required. KEY REQUIREMENTS: · 6 months to 2 years office experience · Must be efficient in typing data entry · No prior illicit drug use (No Exceptions) · Must have a positive civil history free of judgments or adverse civil actions initiated and/or ruled against you · Must not have a criminal history · Must have an excellent credit history · Must have a positive employment history - Must have the ability to obtain and hold a security clearance
