The Web Developer is responsible for developing custom, often complex, WordPress and ASP.NET based web solutions. The Web Developer will be involved in reqauirement reviewsd, design discussions, and will work closely with software engineering, product development, and the UI/UX design team to build and maintain responsive e-commerce web applications.
Essential Functions:
Code and imprelemt WordPress sites from Photoshop layout through HTML/CSS to a custom theme, functions, and plugins.
Integrate WordPress website functions with back-end RESTful API's.
Develop interactive client-side functionality with JavaScript/JQuery.
Provide front-end support for responsive ASP.NET web applications.
Conduct WordPress site administration.
Work closely with the UI/UX design and content teams to construct and update pages.
Perform routine content updates.
Assist with cross platform/browser compatibility testing
Assist with A/B testing, SEO Optimization, and PPC campaign initiatives.
As part of an Agile Team, atend scrum meetings, sprint planning and backlog reviews.
Effectively communicate project status to internal cross-functional teams in a timely manner.
Triage production support issues and work with Marketing, Product Management and Software Engineering to resolve issues.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills Required
Experience and Education:
BS/Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
3+ Years Coding Experience in HTML5, CSS3, BootStrap, JavaScript, and JQuery
3+ Years Experience with WordPress, PHP, and MYSQL
3+ Years Experience with Windows OS and Mac
Strong Knowledge of current web standards and cross platform/browser compatability
Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful API's and formats (JSON, XML)
Familiar with A/B testing, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
Familiar with one or more client-side libraries such as Knockout, Angular or Backbone
Familiar with Distributed Version Control Systems e.g. Git and/or Mercurial
Experience managing WordPress with cPanel
Experience with issue tracking tools such as Kira
Experience working in a multi-site team
Familiarity with C#, ASP.Net, MVC, and SQL a plus
Physical Requirements:
Daily exposure to PC's and Networks
The ability to lift 20-30lbs w/assistance, may move heavy equipment or boxes
Sit for long ours in front of Computer Monitor (s)
Will require long hours and some weekends when business needs dictate
