Virgin Islands Heart, LLC is currently in search of a qualified nurse practitioner or physician assistant. We are a cardiology practice based on the beautiful island of Saint Thomas. We serve Saint Thomas and Saint John, and the British Virgin Islands. The practice is heavily involved with inpatient and consultative cardiology with an emphasis on both interventional and preventive cardiology. We are seeking a candidate with a passion for cardiology and interests in patient education, continuity of care, and clinical research. An outgoing personality and a dedication to teamwork is essential.  The candidate will work closely with a small clinical staff which includes an interventional cardiologist and a registered nurse.

Specific areas of responsibility will include the following:

1) Outpatient management of cardiovascular disorders.

2)    Treatment of acute cardiovascular diseases.

3)    Diagnostic testing and evaluations.

4)    Development of outpatient programs to enhance cardiovascular wellness.

5)    Administration of research protocols.

6)    Application of new health information technologies.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion and certification in an
  accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
• US Virgin Islands License or eligible
• ACLS certified or eligible
• DEA certification
• Computer literacy
• Prefer experienced applicants, previous cardiology experience highly beneficial
