We are a growing company seeking a Financial Accountant to become an important addition to our Fund Accounting team.
TheFinancial Accountantwill have primaryresponsibilityfor theaccounting and reporting foroneormorefund structuresand provide assistancein thesupport of variousother funds,newinitiativesand ad hocrequests.In addition, the Accountant will perform tasks in all areas of the company's accounting functions, including but not limited to:
Maintain the general ledger, working with the operations group for automated entries as well as posting manual entries
Preparing timely, monthly financial statements inclusive of supporting schedules
Assisting in providing timely, accurate and meaningful fund and general business reporting and analysis to leadership
Supporting the preparation of the financial statements, providing information and support to independent auditors
Preparing quarterly and year end analysis in accordance with management guidelines
Skills Required
The successful candidate should possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related discipline
At least 3 years of progressive Accounting experience
Comprehension and understanding of financial statements, specifically income statement, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Excellent analytical skills, strong desire to learn and ability to work well on a team
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel and Word
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail, meticulous and accurate
Highly motivated, hardworking and driven
