IT Support Specialist is an entry-level position at our company, with room to grow.

Responsibilities for IT Support Specialist

  • Operate proactively to head off customer problems
  • Hold security and stability as non-negotiable support requirements
  • Manage Help Desk tickets in a timely manner
  • Provide friendly customer assistance
  • Document interactions and steps toward resolution
  • Use tools such as diagnostics to resolve issues
  • Escalate issues to the next tier where appropriate
  • Install, make changes and repair computer hardware and software
  • Follow-up with customers to ensure issues are resolved

Skills Required

Qualifications for IT Support Specialist

  • Growth-minded: Strong desire to grow and learn
  • Creative: Ability to think outside established norms and create new systems and procedures
  • Intelligent: Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new skills
  • Highly-organized
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong sense of and adherence to ethics
  • Able to execute established procedures precisely and consistently
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Scheduling flexibility and willingness to work some overtime
  • Proficiency with Mac and PC systems
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer technical issues
  • Industry certifications (A+, Network+, ACMT, etc) preferred
  • Coding skills preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working in a help desk environment preferred
