Job Description:

Junior Credit Analyst position is based in St. Thomas USVI and will provide assistance to the Credit Team and Portfolio Manager.  In this role, the Junior Credit Analyst will be expected to be part of the larger team and provide support to senior team members.  The Junior Credit Analyst will also be asked to work independently and complete tasks related to:  data entry, report creation, and meeting support. The Junior Credit Analyst will be trained to monitor and value companies that are part of the overall portfolio.  In addition, the Junior Credit Analyst will be expected to understand how overall economic conditions impact the portfolio and individual investments.


Skills Required

Skills required:

  •   Excellent knowledge of Excel and Word
  •  Basic understanding of financial statements including:  income statements, balance sheets and cash flow
  •  Ability to work independently, establish priorities and meet deadlines with limited supervision
  •  Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  •  Exceptional attention to detail
  •  Basic understanding of legal documents
  •  Inputting and retrieving financial data

 

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  •   Undergraduate degree in relevant subject (accounting or finance preferred but not required)
  •  1-3 years of relevant work experience
  •  Willingness to work on a team and perform additional duties as assigned
