Job Description:
The Therapist functions as a senior social worker/counselor, and possesses skills sufficient to ensure the dependable, regular use of professionalism and knowledge in practice. The Therapist provides Personal Social Services for children and adults who have been physically, emotionally and or sexually abused. The Therapist will also provide services as needed for victims of domestic violence sexual assault and other violent crimes. -Assists the Director in overall program development, supervision and evaluation to include assigned programs. -Involves self in tasks of assessment, detection support/support/assistance, counseling and advocacy, primarily in cases of child abuse and sexual assault and secondarily in cases of domestic violence, and other violent crimes. -Refers clients to and informs victims of crime about other appropriate services and resources. -Accompanies and help clients to gain access, to court, health, employment and education services when needed. -Communicates needs of victims of crime and FRC services to the public or community. -Completes assigned reports in a timely manner. -Responds to emergencies. -Conducts community outreach in the area of violence prevention. -Supervises therapeutic staff case conferences -Responsible for day-to-day assignments of case referrals. -Overall responsibility for procurement and purchase of agency therapeutic supplies. -Free of violence in personal affairs. |
