Job Description:
Position Summary: The Sr Financial Analyst will provide support to the FP&A department as well as each functional area of the company, as needed, by way of monthly reporting and analysis work as well as ad-hoc projects. They will work with the FP&A Director to provide accurate and timely reporting each month as well as insightful analysis for the functional leadership and management of the company as required. They will also work with the Business Intelligence Manager to support various BI initiatives, with primary focus being on overall company productivity and financial improvement. Essential Accounting Functions: · Analyzes, evaluates and interprets appropriate financial and statistical data, reports and records. · Develops and/or documents business policies, conducts special financial and business-related studies and cooperates with other departments in the preparation of analyses. · Conducts financial and business-related analyses and research including the preparation of forecasts and/or analysis of trends. · Provides reasoning for variances and make recommendations relative to the accounting treatment of reserves, assets, and expenditures. · Advises management of expected outcomes and recommend ways to improve the outcomes. · Independently pursues fundamental problem solving and documents the recommendations to management. · Utilizes standard financial tools to input, retrieve or display accounting information. · Develops and maintains spreadsheets and databases. · Utilizes PC and/or systems and software, compiles and prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed. |
