Job Description:

In this fast-paced environment, Director of Operations is responsible for ensuring the site operates at peak efficiency and safety in accordance with local and federal guidelines, at all times.  Facilitates compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines and provides advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations. Directly oversees supervisors or line managers of groups within the facility who report to him/her and provide daily reports regarding teams of employees and their performance. The Director of Operations may offer advice regarding how these teams can achieve goals and benchmarks and meet other established parameters, and may also observe these departments and operations in action to understand the challenges and opportunities available to them. The teams include all safety, security, environmental services/housekeeping staff and the front-office staff that handle patient-flow.

Skills Required

·       High analytic and critical thinking skills with a proven track record of implementing and executing on strategy in an independent manner.

·       Experience in OSHA standards and guidelines, preferred.

·       Superior customer service skills.

·       Experience in the handling bio-hazardous materials and other waste management, preferred.

·       Proficiency in office-based applications:  EHR (experience with practice management preferred), MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook) and internet use is required. 

·       Must possess superior organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and be detail-oriented.

·       Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be a team player.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

·       Supervisory and management experience preferred.  Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including maintenance, grounds, scheduling, and patient-flow.

·       Organize security and general administrative services.  Ensure that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.

·       Must be capable of employing time-management skills for projects with varying timelines; must be able to work under pressure.

·       Must possess superior customer service and therapeutic communication skills (patient, empathetic, responds to patient’s emotional state, excellent patient interview and history taking skills).

·       Advising on energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
