Performs ultrasound examinations, abdominal, obstetric and gynecology scans; Performs ultrasound procedures, color Doppler vascular examinations, and color-flow ultrasound; Uses independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings; Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients while they are in the sonographer’s care; Maintains ultrasound equipment and work area; Reports equipment failure to the appropriate supervisor or staff member; Performs all requested sonographic examination ordered by the physicians; Prepares preliminary report and contacts Radiologist and physicians when required, according to establish procedures; Lifts and transports patients on to the ultrasound table.
