Provide overall leadership, planning, development, and management of the Seaborne Airlines System Operations Control center (SOC). The SOC is responsible for the operational integrity of the schedule system wide.
Essential Duties
Ensure that the schedule is conducted to the highest level of safety and in full compliance with all applicable FAR’s
Proactively monitor fleet, station, crew, status and environmental status, and develop plans that minimize schedule disruptions
Responsible for SOC policy development and incorporation in the Seaborne manual system, obtaining Administrator approval where required
Develop, plan, and obtain approval for training programs to ensure all personnel are knowledgeable and proficient in their duties
Assist Director of Operations with advising Executive Management and Commercial division on operational and staffing impacts of fleet and route expansion plans
Oversees the management reporting aspects of schedule operation
Monitor and plan SOC communications and IT infrastructure and applications
Develop and manage SOC budget
Maintains good relations with other divisions and key vendors
Sets and manages key performance indicators, both internally and with external vendors
Qualifications
Able to qualify in a position authorized to exercise operational control in accordance with 14 CFR FAR’s and Seaborne Airlines Operations Specification A008
Detailed knowledge of the requirements of FAR’s and ICAO Annex 6, Part I
2+ years experience in an operational control position with a 121-type, mixed fleet carrier. Experience with non-domestic operations and new route opening is preferred
10+ years management experience, including at least 3 years in an aviation management role
Experienced in aviation technical training and staff development
Zero-based budgeting or P/L responsibility experience
