The Parts Counter Person sells parts to all available customers, over the counter or on the phone. Parts Counter Person assists walk-in customers in selecting required auto parts, suggest companion requirements and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line. Pulls purchased parts from stock. If the part is not in stock, determines availability and submits a special order if requested by the customer. Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
Skills Required
• Ability to maintain and develop a comprehensive product knowledge • Ability to maintain high standards of customer service and create a superior customer experience • Ability to ring us sales at register and provide prompt and expedient service • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, customers and management • Ability to speak and write English, Spanish a plus • Ability to build customer loyalty and aid customers in locating the right merchandise for their project. • Ability to use computers accurately and effectively • Ability to produce consistently high sales averages • Ability to manage time effectively • Ability to participate in inventories and periodic cycle counts • Strong organizational skills • Ability to be punctual and at work as scheduled
