Job Description:

The certified teacher (pending certification) will instruct students grades 8 through 12 in an After School environment.  The teacher will provide instruction, observe and evaluate sudent performance, create lesson plans, review homework, administer tests, lead class discussions maintain discipline and provide additional asistance as needed by students in order to guarantee academic success.  The teacher must be a professional with a bachelor's degree who have completed their teacher education programs or have completed at least 12 hours of their eduction program towards territory certification.

 


Skills Required

 

  • Prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experience
  • develop schemes of work and lesson plans
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
  • Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
  • Provide appropriate feedback on work
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development 
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs
  • Experience with Scholastic Read 180 Next Generation helpful
  • Experience with Edmentum PLATO helpful
