Job Description:
Investment Associate Job Description We are a private investment firm serving a single-family office seeking to hire an Investment Associate in our St. Thomas, USVI office. The role of the Investment Associate is to provide a wide variety of service and support to our private investment firm. The position focuses on servicing a single-family office by understanding their investment objectives, and working with team members to help deliver, facilitate and implement investment solutions. Responsibilities: - Provide high level of support, including but not limited to market and price updates, investment review preparation, documentation approval, investment performance reporting and review, investment transfers, account maintenance, capital call notices, and fixed income maturities
- Ability to quickly think on your feet and provide investment guidance, with the ability over time to serve as a back up to the senior investment members of the team
- Build and maintain relationships with family, be familiar with target investment products and offerings
- Liaise with external investment managers
- Create proposals and presentation materials
- Attend and potentially present to investment committees
- Other responsibilities as assigned

Skills Required |
|
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance
- Licensing: Series 7, 63 and 65 or 66, a plus
- Utilize research tools (including data bases, Investran, Bloomberg, and Edgar) effectively to obtain investment and market information and data
- Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking and time management very important
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Investment Banking or Finance Analyst
- Knowledge of markets and ability to discuss market views and discuss investment ideas across asset classes
- Strong modeling skills in MS Excel, Tableau
- Confidence, integrity and ability to work confidentially and with discretion to develop a strong team trust
- Self-driven, job ownership, motivated with a positive attitude and strong desire to help out other team members if needed
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
