Scope of Position:Responsible for ensuring that client receives all appropriate services, as well as performance of other work duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Manages a case load of alternative school students including assessments, individual and group counseling, implementing behavioral interventions, treatment planning and referrals. 2.Maintains and demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of cognitive-behavioral intervention concepts and treatment principles.3.Conducts comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, documents these assessments, including summary development and uses assessment results in development of comprehensive treatment plan.4.Develops and implements comprehensive individualized treatment plans and treatment plan updates that integrate input from all multidisciplinary treatment team members.5.Delivers group, individual and family counseling services that include HIV/AIDS risk-reduction activities.6.Delivers student didactic education, and community education.7.Ensures each student has appropriate discharge plans including continuing care, if indicated, and has adequate resources required to support ongoing sobriety at the time of discharge.8.Maintain clinical records in compliance with agency, local and federal guidelines. Ensure that documentation indicates compliance with timelines.9.Assists with the collection of 6- month evaluation follow up and administering other evaluation assessments.10.Participates as member of the treatment team by implementing the core principles of the program by a) Modeling and mentoring positive pro-social behaviors, b) supporting the culture of the program, c) supporting healthy conflict resolution, d) ensuring that program structure and activities are implemented according to guidelines, e) understanding and implementing sanction and reward systems;f) understanding and implementing the mechanisms of addressing and reporting student behavior that presents opportunities for learning and behavior change;g) maintaining awareness of dynamics occurring in the student milieu by active presence and participation in student scheduled activities and when students are not involved in scheduled activities.
Skills Required
Must have at least two years background and experience working in addiction, and human services or psychology field or related field working with youth.
