Job Description:
Position Summary:The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works collaboratively with other members of the health care team in the provision of safe, quality nursing care under the direction of the RN and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and the Nursing Department.
Skills Required
Education & Experience:Must have graduated from High School or obtained a GED.Must have successfully completed an approved certified nursing assistant program.Must have a current VI CNA certification.
Specific Requirements:Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Professional Rescuer BLS certification. Must be comfortable working with computers.
Hazards & Physical Requirements:Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day, walk up to 4 hours a day, and sit for up to 4 hours a day.Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs and lift/carry up to 20 lbs on an occasional basis.Is aware of risk of exposure to communicable diseases; blood and/or body fluids.
