Medical Operational Support ATS is seeking a professional with the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience who will add value to a business opportunity that we are actively pursuing. ATS is currently seeking a Medical Operational Support. Medical Operational Support will act as the staff agent for VIARNG Medical Readiness. The contracted support provided will assist with all pending and future medical actions required to determine the medical readiness of all units. Further actions require capture, definition, tracking, and resolution of all pending medical issues for our Soldiers. These actions are critical to improve deployment readiness and provide the support our Soldiers and their families deserve for their actions and service to community, state, and nation. This is a Full Time position; 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday. The period of performance shall be for a basic period of 12 months: 01 November 2012 – 01 November 2013. Must be a resident of the Virgin Islands to apply. Place of performance: St. Thomas | The Medical Operational Support must have: · Bachelor’s degree in related health care field; or · Six years’ experience providing medical operational support In order to successfully meet the performance objectives of this task order, the contract employee should possess the following knowledge/skills: · Knowledge of management reporting system. · Knowledge of different Microsoft applications. Additional knowledge of computer software and hardware, including medical applications, is expected. · Experience working with the DSS. · Good documentation skills. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to establish rapport. · Ability to motivate others towards achieving goals. · Ability to work independently with strong sense of focus, task-oriented, nonjudgmental, open personal qualities, clear sense of boundaries. Duties and Responsibilities: · Medical Operational Support : - Independently provides medical operational support to the Office of the State Surgeon. - Tracks medical requirements and capabilities within the region. Confers with all other Section OICs to ensure programs are running proficiently and to assist with any concerns. - Plans and assesses training for the sections and assists in the medical community. - Responsible to provide input for the medical plans, operations, and training. - Tracks medical readiness requirements and assures compliance within regulating guidelines. - Responsible for being liaison with local and national-level agencies to ensure continuity of medical readiness. - Gathers and analyzes data, submits reports to Deputy State Surgeon (DSS) as required, and identifies systematic problems for resolution. Duties include but are not limited to daily updates of all personnel and instructing supervisors on management skills and processes. - Is expected to supervise, document, and report procedure, as well as conduct other administrative procedures as directed by the DSS.
