The Calypso Gift Corporation is recruiting for the Visual Merchandiser position to join their rapidly expanding gift stores. Calypso operates two retail stores in the U.S. Virgin Islands which specialize in souvenirs, apparel and various locally made products.
The ideal person is:
experienced
creative

skilled in visual merchandising
has excellent communication skills
has proven ability in training and coaching staff
has excellent commercial awareness
has management experience
Your tasks:
You will apply a keen commercial focus to maximise sales and potential of our stores
You will be coaching and inspiring on all aspects of store layout and visual merchandising when carrying out store visits
You will create an exciting, inviting and visually appealing environment for the customer's shopping pleasure
You will show attention to detail in merchandising, windows and all product displays, ensuring that space and layout are maximised to the full
This is a part-time opportunity which will also require communication with the store manager to work out the floor layout and display points, as well as how and what items are to be displayed.
This role requires the individual to hold a full clean driving license and to travel to the stores and Head Office.
