The Virgin Islands Public Television System announces the opening for a Producer Assistant position on St. Croix.    

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the Senior Producer in the development and planning of the System’s local programming;
• Brainstorm and contribute ideas for programs and program segments;
• Research information for various segments and programs’
• Confirm and coordinate guests for various programs;
• Assist with In and Out-of-Studio Productions;
• Setup and operate production equipment;
• Set up and take down studio sets and equipment;
• Dub tapes onto various formats;

·        Record, tag and complete inventory of tapes and promo reels;

·        Operate cameras, microphones and accessories during and in preparation for remote and studio broadcasts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work with minimal supervision;
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively;
• Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to changing situations;
• Ability to stand for 2-3 hours during productions; and
• Ability to work flexible hours and outdoors as needed.
