Job Description:

Solar Energy Firm is seeking an experienced Lead Solar PV Installer. The Lead Solar PV Installer holds responsibility for the quality and serviceability of the PV installation, including overall project implementation, schedule, crew safety, productivity, documentation and inventory.

Responsibilities include:

SYSTEM DESIGN

Conduct Site Evaluations
Confirm System sizing
Evaluate design of Energy Storage systems
Analyze system component selection and confirm compatibility
Review Wiring and Conduit size calculations
Review overcurrent Protection Selection
Confirm fastener sizes

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Conduct Pre-Construction Meetings
Manage schedule and installation deadlines
Secure Permits, Approvals and Inspections
Manage Project Labor
Coordinate sub-contractor Labor
Manage Project Equipment and materials deliveries
Implement site-specific safety plan

INSTALLATION

Mitigate electrical hazards
Determine voltage levels of interconnections
Determine working clearances
Demonstrate situational awareness
Install module and inverter grounding
Install Conduit and Raceways
Install Electrical Components
Install Circuit Conductors
Install Utility Interconnection
Install racking, modules, inverters and monitoring device
Commission the system and perform testing
Complete system documentation
Orient the Client to the system

TROUBLESHOOTING

Conduct troubleshooting where needed
Perform corrective actions as needed

Skills Required

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience installing solar PV systems required
Strong understanding of solar PV installation and design required
10 hour OSHA training required
Valid DL required
Experience in construction management, roofing or electrical contracting preferred
NABCEP Certification preferred but not required

Skills Required:

Highly Organized with attention to detail
Pride in work and attention to quality
Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
Ability to problem solve in the field
Effective coordination and communication skills a must
Good computer proficiency including the ability to email, document inventory, track data, scan and copy, etc.
