Job Description:
Hotel Revenue Manager is responsible for controlling room revenue on a daily, monthly and yearly basis. Will be responsible for monitoring room inventory oversee the compilation of weekly reservations and occupancy. Must be able to understand the market and be aware of what your competition is doing. The hotel revenue manager sets the prices on the hotel rooms. The revenue manager must provide reports to the general manager that forecasts what the room revenue will be for a given period. These reports are put together with historical information combined with rooms that are ready reserved and the rate at which they were booked. It is vitally important that these reports are as accurate as possible. The revenue manager needs to understand how other hotels in the area are pricing themselves. Be able to supervise and directly operate matters related to the front desk and reservations department. The daily reservations coming in at the property either via email, fax, GDS or OTA. Able to run front desk with the team and offer support as needed. Must be able to determine priority topics and make informed decisions to ensure front desk and reservations department performance goals are met. Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks, handle guest concerns in an attentive, courteous and service oriented manner ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction. |
