The Sr. Product Manager will report to the Director of Product Management, and will be responsible for developing new potential service offerings involving wired and wireless network technologies, as well as a wide range of cloud and managed services capabilities. Beyond the definition of all marketing-specific product attributes, a key component of this position will be to provide project management to roll out new offers end-to-end across all functions within the organization (from contracting to provisioning, installation, billing and customer support).
The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Market Analysis: Develop a comprehensive assessment of all segments in the local market, including analysis of technology and business trends, customer buying criteria, competitive positioning, and the company’s strengths/weaknesses, opportunities/threats
Opportunity Definition and Product Ideation: Develop ideas as to what new service offerings may address market needs in a viable and profitable manner, and how the company’s technological and operational infrastructure may bring such offerings to bear
Developing sales enablement, potential partners, sales channels, advertising strategies, etc., to support the company’s go-to-market strategies and tactics
Business Case: Help develop the business case for new offers
Service Deployment Planning: Upon acceptance and approval of the business case, develop a project plan conducive to the successful implementation of all operational and systemic arrangements to allow for optimal service delivery (from selling to installing, supporting and billing the new offering)
Project Management: Provide cross-functional coordination to drive the new service deployment plan to successful completion. Coordination with representatives from all stakeholder departments to devise an end-to-end solution
Performance Management: Set objectives and develop measures for evaluating products and services, including profitability, market penetration and usage. Develop methodologies for taking corrective action
Product Roadmap Planning: Understand the basics of product lifecycle management, and plan for the development of future offerings as well as the retirement of legacy products, in a timely fashion and with minimal revenue erosion
Skills Required
The Sr. Product Manager will be an experienced and successful product management professional with 6-8 years of experience in market-facing roles. Half of these years will have been spent in the telecommunications or another technology-related field, and substantial wireless experience is required. A balance in B2B and B2C roles will be an important plus
By nature, the Sr. Product Manager will possess a powerful blend of commercial and technical understanding, and be savvy at finding creative but practical solutions to business and consumer problems utilizing technology
The successful candidate for this position is a more than adequate project manager with the credibility and personality to win the support of collaborators in a variety of operational and technical fields

Proven ability to assess opportunities, and use that insight to develop vision, strategy and tactical plan(s)
Working knowledge of product management processes and use that knowledge to develop and manage new offerings throughout their lifecycle
Demonstrated customer focus, and the ability to evangelize customer-centricity across the organization
Understanding of enterprise, retail and indirect sales functions and processes
Strong ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams to advance new product ideas and concepts
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Very high standards of quality
Proficient in building strong relationships across organizational boundaries
