Job Description:

Job Code Number: 320093. Appointees must be able to work productively with students and colleagues of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds in an on-campus teaching environment. Duties include teaching a minimum of 24 credit hours per academic year at the undergraduate and graduate levels, some student advisement, division committee assignments and research and scholarly activities.

Rank and compensation will be based on academic preparation, teaching and practical experience. Benefits include a generous TIAA/CREF or Virgin Islands Government Retirement Plan, as well as a comprehensive group medical and dental insurance plan.

Skills Required

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Accounting as well as teaching experience in a comparable higher education setting. Candidates with an ABD with a definite completion date may be considered. Practical experience in accounting is essential. Evidence of successful teaching at the college level is preferred. The ability to work with people of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds is a must.
